10, Manual of the Warrior Light

Title: Manual of the Warrior of Light
Author: Paulo Coelho
Publisher: HarperCollins (2006, original work: 1997)
Language: English (translated from Portuguese)
Pages: 320

Very inspirational collection of short, quite simple at first sight, passages. Each page of the book is a new passage - a message of guidance, wisdom and encouragement. Each passage sets out to define a characteristic of 'the warrior of light', a concept I will not even attempt to explain here. Read the book, let your inner light shine and, in essence, live a better life.

Aslaamu-alay-kum,

After numerous debates on whether an Top MMA fighter vs Mike Tyson (Prime) i would like to hear your opinion on this as you have wrestled and fought on many occassions and would have a fighters mind.

My Argument:

Mike Tyson is a formiddible Puncher and has knocked out many boxers in past,

I feel that to say CLEARLY that an MMA fighter or Mike Tyson will win is wrong,

The Mixed Martial artist would have the upper hand knowing various types of fighting styles,

But in all UFC's i have seen the fights start standing up given a 50/50 chance to each fighter,

I have seen almost every Mike Tyson fight and if he catches you clean with a right hook you are swimming with the fishes,

Thus the argument concludes with the three possible outcomes and the % of it happening,

1. Mike Tyson knocking out the MMA fighter......50%

2. MMA fighter taking down Mike Tyson........50%

3. ILL BEAT THEM BOTH UP....1%

jojo, this is like the classic "who would win, good grappler or good boxer?" question.

My opinion: If you are one-dimensional, it doesn't matter how good you are in that dimension, you will be taken out of your game with bad result (for Tyson).

Think of Tyson in the boxing ring as a shark in water. Ferocious. You wouldn't want to swim with a shark would you? Exactly. That's why you would throw in a net, pull the shark out of the water and, hey presto, the shark (Tyson) is pretty lame.

In summary, the third outcome is the most likely outcome - you would knock them both out... if you trained like a multi-dimensional (kickboxing, wrestling, ground and pound, submissions etc) man possessed, insha-Allah.
